Homemade Food Entries

HOMEMADE FOODS
Wrap baked products individually in plastic or foil to retain freshness until time of judging. No commercial mixes are to be used.

Homemade Foods entries must be dropped off on August 9 from 4 PM until 8 PM.  Entries will not be released until 4 PM on Saturday, August 12th. Please pick up all entries at the Fair on Saturday, August 12th between 4 PM and 5 PM. If you are unable to pick up your entry, please make arrangements for someone else to get it. We cannot be responsible for entries and ribbons left here past 5 PM Saturday. Unclaimed food items will be discarded or donated if in edible condition.

YEAST BREAD AND CAKES
Class 1 — Yeast Bread (1 lb. Loaf or 3 Rolls)
Each exhibit to consist of one rectangular loaf of bread or three rolls. To be judged on Flavor and odor, Lightness, General Appearance (size, shape, crust, color), Crumb (grain, moisture, color).
Class 2 — Quick Bread (No Yeast, 1 Loaf)
Each exhibit to consist of one rectangular loaf of bread. To be judged on Flavor and odor, Lightness, General Appearance (size, shape, crust, color), Crumb (grain, moisture, color).
Class 3 — Muffins or Biscuits (3 Muffins or Biscuits)
Each exhibit to consist of three muffins or biscuits.  To be judged on Flavor, Appearance, and Texture.
Class 4 — Cakes (1 Cake)
Each exhibit to consist of one cake.  To be judged on Flavor, Appearance, and Texture.
Class 5 — Cookies (4 Cookies)
Each exhibit to consist of four cookies. To be judged on Flavor, Appearance, and Texture.
Class 6 — Brownies (4 Brownies)
Each exhibit to consist of four brownies. To be judged on Flavor, Appearance, and Texture.
Pre-registration is strongly encouraged for open class exhibits
